Banner Slider (2.0.2)

I had the same two issues as a few others have had but the support from Vick was great and it is now working. For the banner not showing on the category page removed from app\design\frontend\base\default\layout\bannerslider.xml and for the 'Add Banner ' page not showing removed line 32 ( $model->setStoreId(Mage::app()->getStore(true)->getId() ) from app/code/community/Magestore/Bannerslider/Block/Adminhtml/Bannerslider/Edit/Tab/form.php

After install the banner didn´t show correctly due to lack of css files on the server. Reinstall did not solve the problem. Quick support from Magestore solved everything!

This product had a number of issues when installed, in particular different behavior depending on the browser, but the support provided has been top class. I rarely get this attention and assistance from support even when the extension has been purchased and this is one is free. The extension is now running as required on multiple browsers doing exactly what is supposed to.

Wroking like a charm! After to install I couldn't see the banners on categories, but their support is really good and solve the problem in a few minutes. I recomend this extension Juan

Hi, You met this error because the function Compilation is enabled in System->Tools. To resolve the trouble, you can disable it then upload our extension package and click on "Run Compilation Process". It will work properly.

Just a quick fix of my last review. Banner for category can be done easily, remove code , only these two symbols, not the code between, in file app\design\frontend\base\default\layout\bannerslider.xml. Great support from Vick. Really appreciated!!!!

The extension didn't work out after installed but fortunately, I'm getting assistance from the support, Vick and the problem is solved! Thanks Vick and this extension is the easiest to use compared to other similar extension and their technical support is superb! Keep up the good work.

Class 'Magestore_Bannerslider_Helper_Data' not found

The installation seemed to have worked fine, but had trouble with actually using Banner Slider, but after a quick email to support, they were able to log in and fix the problem with a minimum of fuss. All of this is amazing considering this is the free version of their extension and will definitely consider the Pro version if warranted for the site I am building.

The support is awesome. I've tried to use it and it wasn't work properly. After looking on the internet, I found a cupom that solved one of my problems. However, I was having some issues with IE compatibility and opened a ticket support on their help desk. Less than 24 hours they answered me, I tried to fix it by myself and couldn't do it. After letting them help me, the problem was fixed and the extension was working 100% fine on IE. Thanks Magestore!

On my Magento 1.4.2 I've upload and install BannerSlider with Magento connect, but the version 1.0.3 was not working well... then I post my problem on Magestore support, and they sent me back the new release 2.0.2 and they follow me step by step to fix some features and my settings to finally have a perfect implementation... thank you guys !

Installed v2.0.2 on magento 1.7.0.2. There was a tiny bug when editing banner. I contacted support and they were on it immediately. Excellent service for a free extension.

Installed on my website and works great! I was going to code this thing but found there's a free extension for it! Awesome. However, I need the banner to both have the replacement and thumbnails mode, the extension only allows one transition mode.

I installed the extension on Magento 1.7.0.2 and had the same blank page problem when trying to add a banner. I contacted the support team and they were very prompt and helpful. After overwriting the Form.php file with one that the support had sent me, I had to add some isset(...) conditions to some IF statements. After that, the extension worked great and it is just what I need. My thanks to Magestore and their support team (Albert Vu in my case).

I installed the the Banner Slider & noticed it was not working with Internet Explorer. I submitted a ticket for assistance on New Year's Eve. I got a response from Vick at Magestore just before midnight in the US on New Year's Eve. The information and update file I needed were included with the email. Really good support - rapid response to the common problem with IE8

Extremely helpful support staff that helps even with free extension and they do it quickly. The extension itself is also good. I only wish there was a possibility to change the order of the slider images.

This works in the latest CE version 1.7.0.2, at first I got Internal server error 500 after install so I send a ticket and I was impressed by the epic support. I am happy with this, I recommend to use this extensions works great!

Simply Amazing. I cannot say enough good things about this product and the developers behind it. I just wrapping up my first magento build and the slider was exactly what I was looking for. Good extension and worked fine for me before on another site. But now when I installed it on a new site I got a blank admin page (other than the header). Both on version 1.7.0.2.

Have installed on 1.7 followed directions for fix by removing line 32. This has fixed issue when adding a new banner but I still get error 404 when I go to system>configuration>Banner Slider. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Cant stand them hate digging through folders to find the pages and editing them in some paint or adobe program re-uploading them then hoping its pointing to the right name... "Dang it left out an i!!!!!" Installed this program and went to dinner with the wife. It was a breeze to install and worked right out of the box.. Very awesome extension for banners, and very good customer service. I installed it on magento version 1.6.2.0.

For those with a white flash when using the AutoSwitch style try adding the following lines in magento\app\design\frontend\base\default\template\bannerslider\bannerslider.phtm at line no 62: //Set the show class for the first image $j('#gallery a:first').addClass('show') Everything is smooth now! thanks for this extension it ids working perfectly , but i have a problem after i enable block names to hints in magento , i found that there is two Magestore_BannerSlider_Block_BannerSlide blocks in home page , one is in the header and filled with my images and the second is empty and is located above the new products block , why there is second block and how to remove it?

Slider looks and works =great after I made these changes: 1) Remove line 63 (this was using Dreamweaver) 2) Was getting a 404 error within the admin until I logged out and logged back in. 3) Updated .js with 1.7.2 to fix in IE. Thanks!

Hi, I have installed this extension on Magento 1.6.2 and 'Banner Slider' > 'Manage Banner' is showing up in the admin. However, when I click on 'New Banner' I get a blank view.

Out of the box this extension didn't work in IE9. This is because it comes with jQuery 1.4.2 If you goto the jQuery website and download the latest version (1.7.2) then if you're lazy like me just rename to the same as the current jQuery file and overwrite. Voila! No more faffing with compatibility modes etc. Thanks again for the extension

Hello, I installed things properly and it shows on my homepage, but I am not getting anything in my categories. I have a custom theme but cannot seem to get the slider working on the category level. I have used a static block but always end up with the default slider (from home page). I assume that there is some kind of model call like $model->getByCategoryID($x)->toHtml() ??? Or have I completely missed something obvious? Any help appreciated... Thanks

This is a very simple slider and works fine on my Magento 1.5.x installation. It's a 'Must Have'!

The support is awesome. I've tried to use it and it wasn't work properly. After looking on the internet, I found a cupom that solved one of my problems. However, I was having some issues with IE compatibility and opened a ticket support on their help desk. Less than 24 hours they answered me, I tried to fix it by myself and couldn't do it. After letting them help me, the problem was fixed and the extension was working 100% fine on IE. Thanks Magestore!

The installation seemed to have worked fine, but had trouble with actually using Banner Slider, but after a quick email to support, they were able to log in and fix the problem with a minimum of fuss. All of this is amazing considering this is the free version of their extension and will definitely consider the Pro version if warranted for the site I am building.
