Someone want keep the products in the shopping cart after the customer logout. So today, we will try to learn the configuration Persistent Cart in Magento 2. In Admin page -> go to menu Stores -> Configuration -> Customers -> Persistent Shopping Cart and choose “Yes” in the option “Enable Persistence”. You will see it like:

1. Persistence Lifetime (seconds)

It is the time that you want the persistent cookie to last. The default value 31,536,000 seconds is equal to one year, and is the maximum time allowed.

2. Enable “Remember Me”

This is a option to displays the “Remember Me” checkbox on the Login page of your store, so customers can choose to save their shopping cart information.

3. “Remember Me” Default Value

You can choose yes if you want set default option “remember me” for the customer when he login to your website.

4. Clear Persistence on Sign Out

It is option to clear the shopping cart after the customer logout. I think that we will choose no to keep the product in the shopping cart. So the shopping cart still has the product even the customer can logout and change account.

5. Persist Shopping Cart

You can choose “Yes” if you want the persistent cookie still is preserved if the session cookie expires,. If a guest shopper later logs in or creates a new account, the shopping cart is restored. And you can choose “No”. It will make the shopping cart is not preserved for guests after the session cookie expires.
