Features

Why should use Banner slider?

As we know that the top position of a website page is most viewed by visitors. Therefore, it is a great idea to add several banners of different advertisers or promotional campaigns, so that customers will have a better view and won’t be distracted as if banners are placed at too many positions.

Outstanding Features

To make this slider show on home page, you have to put this line of code in homepage cms in admin:

  • Site stopped working after installling theme with this extension

    We installed the sweetgirl them complete with this extension and after clearing the cache it says
    Fatal error: Class 'Magestore_Bannerslider_Helper_Data' not found in /home/content/20/9332020/html/app/Mage.php on line 516

    Hi,

    I fixed the error by commenting out line 32 of form.php but am now getting this error when clicking 'Add Banner'

    Notice: Undefined index: stores in ../app/code/community/Magestore/Bannerslider/Block/Adminhtml/Bannerslider/Edit/Tab/Form.php on line 88

    Hello,

    Thank you for the free extension.

    I would like to have a fix for the following and will pay if need be.

    1) The image displays then flashes white (background) then loads the first image then works fine after the first 6 seconds.

    2) I would like to have a feature added so that there is a option to order the display of the slides.

    Hi,
    I have installed this extension on Magento 1.6.2 and 'Banner Slider' > 'Manage Banner' is showing up in the admin. However, when I click on 'New Banner' I get a blank view.
  • jQuery and IE9 Compatibility

    Out of the box this extension didn't work in IE9. This is because it comes with jQuery 1.4.2

    If you goto the jQuery website and download the latest version (1.7.2) then if you're lazy like me just rename to the same as the current jQuery file and overwrite. Voila! No more faffing with compatibility modes etc.

    Hi there, thanks for the great free extension.

    I have successfully installed on Magento 1.7 and got the same Error on line 32 as other people are experiencing when going to add a banner.

    Firstly navigate here:
    app/code/community/Magestore/Bannerslider/Block/Adminhtml/Edit/Tab

    Open form.php

    I found the code was actually on line 63 when opened in Dreamweaver. Just delete or comment out the code below, clear your cache and you should be away.

    $model->setStoreId(Mage::app()->getStore(true)->getId());

    Regarding the issue, please download jquery-1.7.1.min.j then rename it to jquery-1.4.2.min.js, and copy to ../js/magestore/bannerslider.

    Hello,
    I installed things properly and it shows on my homepage, but I am not getting anything in my categories. I even copied the Bannerslider.xml to my theme's package in the layout folder and also uncommented lines 3 & 20. Anything else that I can do?

    I run Magento 1.6.2

    To show banner slider, in admin panel please go to CMS > Pages. In the edit page of your CMS homepage, go to "Content" tab and paste this code
    {{block type='bannerslider/bannerslider' template='bannerslider/bannerslider.phtml'}}
    to the content field.

    Where is this section exactly? I have tried copy and pasting this into a few fields in the adminCP, but the slider never shows up. Could you explain this part in a bit more detail please? Many thanks!!

    I have a custom theme but cannot seem to get the slider working on the category level. I have used a static block but always end up with the default slider (from home page). I assume that there is some kind of model call like $model->getByCategoryID($x)->toHtml() ??? Or have I completely missed something obvious? Any help appreciated... Thanks

    Hi,

    I have installed this extension on Magento 1.6.2 and 'Banner Slider' > 'Manage Banner' is showing up in the admin. However, when I click on 'New Banner' I get a blank view. When I view source, I see that the page is breaking after the opening of <div id="page:main-container">
